PRACTICE FOCUS:
For 18 years I have been assisting injured people to achieve fair compensation for personal injury due to automobile accidents, or due to professional negligence. I have developed a reservoir of experience in the area of medical negligence, as well as specialized work in the pharmaceutical products liability area in handling pertussis vaccine and DES birth injury cases.

As the first woman attorney to actively work in both firms where I was an associate, I have helped to pave the way for women to integrate into a traditionally male arena: the Courtroom. Because of my personal familiarity with gender discrimination, I have become an effective advocate for both genders when it comes to gender discrimination, particularly with regard to sexual harassment in the workplace.

I have also practiced as a Probate and Estate planning attorney, which has given me a depth of understanding of family issues and property law. This background gives me a unique perspective in aiding families which suffer devastating loss of a family member, or the catastrophic impact of major disease or disability from negligence, since I can help them to design a plan which accommodates all of the needs which the injury has created.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE:
I have taught Business Law at Cuyahoga Community College, Negotiations and Client Skills as Adjunct Faculty at Case Western Reserve Law School. I have taught first and third year law students appellate advocacy skills through the Moot Court Program.

I have trained over 80 lawyers in the special skills needed to work with the terminally ill in the Hospice Program which was pioneered through the Cleveland Bar Association in the early 80's, incorporating for the first time, volunteer attorneys as a team member in the inter-disciplinary team which served the hospice community's needs.

PHILOSOPHY
I am a committed advocate to the free enterprise system, and to the right of each person to live as a free Citizen of our democratic society. Our freedom is a special gift, threatened daily with increasing erosion from ambitious legislators who are determined to hone back the public's individual rights in the name of the good of the whole. Yet, not the whole, but private interests lie behind this effort to manipulate and control the critical element of mass consciousness to achieve the limited perspective of a few.

Through my practice, I work to expand and enhance the understanding of our rights and to educate lay people to the commensurate responsibility that is the hallmark and the definition of a free society.

My personal credo is "Quitters Never Win; Winners Never Quit."
